Can the librarian do my research for me?
Answer
No. Research is a process that includes several steps that may have to be repeated several times before a research project is finished.
- Identify and develop the topic
- Find sources
- Evaluate sources
- Cite sources
A librarian can assist you with these steps, but the librarian cannot do the research for you. Ask your instructor for clarity about the research project.
