How do I access the library databases?
Where are the databases? What are the passwords?
Answer
The Galveston College Library offers access to a large array of databases for use in your research. As a member of the GC community, you have the opportunity to explore peer-reviewed journals, newspapers, films, and more!
You can access the library's databases in a variety of ways:
1. From the Library homepage, in the "Quick Links" box located on the right-hand side, select "A to Z Databases." This will take you directly to the Library's database list.
2. From the Library homepage, in the "Whitecaps OneSearch" box located in the center of the page, select the "A-Z Databases List." This will also take you directly to the Library's database list.
3. From the Library homepage, select "Find Library Resources" from the row of tabs at the top of the page. From the drop-down menu, select "Search Databases." This will take you directly to the Library's database list as well.
In order to log-in to the Library's databases, you will use the same log-in information as you would use for the Whitecaps Portal; your GC ID number and password.
